Andreas Moutsios-Rentzos is an Associate Professor of Mathematics Education in the Department of Education and Primary Education at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) and the Director of the “Mathematics, History, Philosophy and Didactics of Mathematics Laboratory”. He holds a Ptychio in Mathematics (NKUA), MSc in Mathematics Education (University of Warwick) and PhD in Mathematics Education (University of Warwick). He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on mathematics education, educational technology, and research methodology. His research focuses on investigating the complexity of teaching-learning phenomena using multifaceted interdisciplinary approaches.


Michael Meimaris
Michalis Meimaris is a professor of New Technologies and Media in Communication and Education at the Department of Communication and Mass Media of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He is Director of the University Research Institute for Applied Communication (EPIEE). He also directs the Laboratory of New Technologies in Communication, Education, and Media, which belongs to the Department of Culture, Environment, Communication Applications, and Technology of the aforementioned Department. He has been honored by the French Republic with the title of Chevalier de l’Ordre des Palmes Academiques (Knight of the Order of Academic Palms).

Fragkiskos Kalavasis
Fragkiskos Kalavasis is Professor of Mathematics Education and Educational Technology at the University of the Aegean and Research Associate at the Université des Versailles Saint Quentin en Yvelines. He studied Mathematics and Mathematics Education at the University of Athens and Paris Diderot University. His research approach focuses on the reflective construction of mathematical knowledge and the intelligence of the learning organism.

Tharrenos Bratitsis
Tharrenos Bratitsis is a Professor specializing in “Information Technology with an emphasis on educational software development” at the Department of Early Childhood Education of the University of Western Macedonia. He teaches or has taught courses on ICT Applications in Education, Educational Software Development and Evaluation, Special Applications for ICT Utilization, Teaching Informatics, Flexible and Distance Education, Teaching Information Technology at the Department of Early Childhood Education of the University of Western Macedonia, the Hellenic Open University, and the Department of Preschool Education and Educational Design (TEPAES) of the University of the Aegean.

Konstantinos Tatsis
Dr. Konstantinos Tatsis is a Professor of Mathematics Education in the Department of Primary Education at the University of Ioannina. He graduated from the Department of Mathematics (1995) and holds a PhD in Education (2005) from the University of Ioannina. Since 2013, he has been teaching undergraduate and graduate courses on Mathematics Education, such as “Basic Mathematics,” “Mathematics Education,” and “Applications of Mathematics in Everyday Life.” His research interests focus on the role of language in solving mathematical problems and collaborative learning. He has published extensively in these areas and actively participates in research projects and scientific conferences.

Rea Kakamboura
Rea Kakampoura is a Professor at the Department of Pedagogy and Primary Education of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and Director of the Social Sciences Laboratory. Her research interests focus on folklore, life narratives, intangible cultural heritage, and the educational use of folk culture in education. She is the scientific director of the Life Narratives Archive and a member of the National Scientific Committee for the implementation of the UNESCO Convention (2003).

Chrysanthi Skoumpourdi
Chrysanthi Skoumpourdi is a Professor of Mathematics Education in the Department of Preschool Education and Educational Design at the University of the Aegean. Her research interests focus on the design, development, and evaluation of educational materials for teaching mathematics to preschool and early school-age children. In particular, she studies the use of art, games, and illustrated books/scripts in mathematics education. In addition, she is involved in the exploratory approach to teaching and learning mathematics, interdisciplinarity, teacher training, and the mathematical education of children with visual impairments.

George Koutromanos
Dr George I. Koutromanos is an Associate Professor in the Section of Mathematics and Informatics of the Department of Primary Education at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), specializing in “Information and Communication Technologies in Education” (Government Gazette Γ’ 145/18-01-2024).
Since September 2021, he has been the Director of the ICT Laboratory of the Department of Primary Education, and since April 2024, he has also served as the Director of the Master’s Program “Teaching of Mathematics and Information and Communication Technologies in Education,” as well as the Director of the Joint Inter-Institutional Master’s Program between the Department of Primary Education (NKUA) and the University of the Aegean, titled “Educational Design of Online Learning.”

Nikolaos Larios
Nikos Larios is a member of the Special Teaching Staff at the Department of Primary Education of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, specializing in ICT in Education for Sustainable Development. He has significant experience in teaching subjects such as ICT, educational robotics, and automatic control systems. In recent years, he has been actively involved in research and educational projects, including the European Erasmus+ CBHE programs PUAT, ICTeEfS, RefTeCp, and CCSAFS, focusing on the use of ICT and the development of educational material for Sustainable Development. His research interests include learning technologies, augmented reality in education, and educational robotics.

George Kyriakopoulos
Georgios Kyriakopoulos is a primary school teacher, a graduate in Business Administration and Organizations, and a school principal. He is also a doctoral researcher in Mathematics Education, specializing in curricula for Roma students.
As a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Thessaly, he reflects on mathematics currere through a post-qualitative, nomadic lens and cultivates a rhizomatic approach to the teaching and learning of mathematics.
He speaks English, French, and Italian, which allows him to connect diverse learning communities and strengthen multimodal literacies with a focus on inclusion. Through his work, he bridges research knowledge with educational practice and school leadership.

Panagiota Kaskaouti
Kaskaouti Panagiota is a PhD Candidate at the Department of Primary Education, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She holds a Ptychio in Mathematics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a Master’s Degree in Education Sciences from the Hellenic Open University. Maria Giakoumi
Maria Giakoumi is a PhD candidate in Mathematics Education at the Department of Pedagogy and Primary Education of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Dr Dimitrios Deslis holds a PhD in Mathematics Education from the University of Cambridge, UK.
